3rd and Final Entry for 2006

Goodbye to 2006 fellow xanga-ers, xangites, xangocians.

I shall now write a poem:

Chocolate tastes good.

Poo poo does not.

They sometimes look the same.

Fire is hot.

There's an alien in my tummy.

He's due in 4 weeks.

When I was a child I played outside,

went mudhogging and splashed thru creeks.

This poem is random.

At times life seems too.

But God is not.

And He loves you.

What will 2007 bring?

I really don't know.

Maybe I will lose some weight.

Maybe it will snow (doubt it).

Read God's word and talk to Him.

Listen, that's important too.

Practice patience and graciousness

And try not to get the flu.

The end.

People of the world...Join in.  Join the ...

Hey.  It's me.  Just writing stuff and things and such.  Wanted to let people who I never see and whose email address I don't have know what's going on in my life.

God is up to some crazy things in my life.  I resigned from my ministry position oat Travis Ave.  Madison and I are leaving...on an adventure with God...that's what I'm calling it.  Madison graudates from Seminary next week and God has changed gears on us...we are now looking for a church for him to pastor (Madison, not God.  Althought technically it really should be God pastoring His flock through Madison...yeah yeah) We are looking for a church for God thru Madison to pastor.  So be praying for us on this new adventure.  If you are a Travis person, I think there is a farewell get together for me this Sunday night in the Youth Building after Connection at 6:00.  Join us.

And no, we are not going to Washington.  I just said I was giving a George Washington Farewell Address this Wednesday Night.  The End.

That's bad...somebody dies in that joke.

Ohhh, I only post a new entry when people make comments.  And yet, I never make comments, but simply enjoy reading everyones entries.  It goes something like this...

click, (thinking)...hmmm that's nice. click.

And then I move on.  It sounds selfish. But really I'm protecting myself against addiction to xangas.  Not really, I am pretty much just being selfish.  Let's call it what it is.  I must change.  I'll stop xanga-ing.  No, that is the easy way out.  I'll do what is right and xanga in moderation.

(this is an allegory of how we are in the Christian life...we don't have the guts to admit selfishness.  Or if we do, we continue in it or take the easy way out)

THE END (I don't know how to spell allegory...alagory...I don't know)

If I Were Magical...

So Madison and I were driving around Fort Worth a while back and I saw the sign for the "Hooters" restaurant.  And I thought to myself...no actually I said aloud, "If I were magical, I'd change "Hooters" to "Tooters" and the advertisement would be, "We've got great beans."

That's all I've got today.  But I'll do better at updating this year...I mean this month and into next year. --shareen

Hello to my people in Fort Worth -- I have a message for you...

Red Cross is relocating teenagers into Arlington, Fort Worth and Crowley schools.  If you go to my church you will be hearing about it and will get opportunities to give school suppllies and clothes to help these students, but I want you to go ahead and start going through your closets now so when we ask for your help, you will be ready.

Transferring to a new school is hard enough.  These students are tranferring to a new school in a different State, with NOTHING.  Soooooo,

Get a box.  put shoes, belts, jeans, shorts, skirts, shirts, purses, even socks, bras, etc.  Then you will be ready when called upon to give clothes.

Good rule -- if you haven't worn it in a year, you probably don't need it.  Nake sure the clothes and shoes are washed and clean!  Thanks.  Shareen
